Technical components.
For the simplest possible set-up, you might consider one of the many "In the Home Theater Box" equipment package is available now. But if you do-it-yourself type, here are the basics if you want to assemble a custom system:
- Recipients. Sound home theater starts with the recipient. All your components (DVD player, vcr, etc.) into the connector, which processes the sound and send the signal to the speakers. - Large screen TV. There are three basic types of Telephone: direct view, rear projection and front projection. Widescreen TV is also becoming an important part of a home theater set-up. You must have a television viewing area at least 27 "to capture images that are detailed from digital sources such as DVD or satellite. For the digital satellite broadcasts and widescreen movies, consider selecting 16:9 High Definition (HD) compatible display, available in flat tube, rear-projection, digital projector or plasma format.
- Getting Connected.
